APPLY OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FOR ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT IN SAMUT PRAKAN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to design an environmental geo-informatics database of Samut Prakan province; and to design environmental geospatial information platform for environmental management. The database was designed using MySQL Database Server 5.7.24 and phpMyAdmin 5.0.4, and the website using HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, PHP 7.4.9. The evaluation results for system performance using questionnaires and purposive sampling. The result showed that the environmental information of the system of Samut Prakan province was designed in 5 categories: content, stations, air, water, and solid waste information. The evaluation results for system performance showed that the source of information according to needs and the accuracy of the system in information presenting were very effective (average 4.68); secondary, meeting the objectives of developing environmental information systems was very effective (average 4.61); and the accuracy of the system in information searching was very effective (average 4.59). The environmental information of the system of Samut Prakan province was gathered into one database which related agencies and publics were be able to access to environmental information in qualitative and quantitative formats; were used for environmental management in the area; and were used to plan spatial environmental management from historical and current environmental quality data.
