This research aims the identity the agricultural microbes that could be survived in the biochar. Four species, Bacillus subtilis TISTR 008, Azotobacter vinelandii TISTR 1096, Pseudomonas fluorescens TISTR 358, and Trichoderma harzianum TISTR 3553, were studied. The microbes were grown and mixed with the support materials made from soybean protein and biochar at different ratios. The inoculated support materials were kept at 30°C for 14 days, and were investigated for the survival of microbes every day. The result showed that the support material made from biochar is suitable for 2 types of microbes, B. subtilis TISTR 008 and T. harzianum TISTR 3553, which tended to survive after day 14 of the experiment.
