Arts Therapy for the Elderly Case Study: Nordic Countries Estonia, Sweden and Finland

Art is an activity that effectively creates happiness and balance in the lives of the elderly. Case studies of the Nordics It was found that a variety of artistic activities were presented, such as drawing, creating art. To give the elderly the opportunity to learn and have new experiences Using art in therapy is also a good option for building relationships between seniors and other people. The concept of the Handmade Wellbeing Handbook is art therapy for the elderly and caregivers who can have a good experience together in using art therapy for the elderly that also helps promote mental and physical health.
The objectives of this article are 1) to study the need for health services for the elderly using art therapy for depression or dementia-related diseases. 2) to study methods of using art to care for and promote the physical and mental health of the elderly. 3) to study the behavior of the elderly in visiting art museums in Estonia, Sweden, and Finland. The population group includes 1) elderly tourists 2) artists who teach manual arts 3) activists who take care of the elderly 4) elderly people who participate in activities and analyze the ideas and activities that occur in Elderly society that places importance on art therapy as a means of caring for the elderly for a better quality of Good life.
Summary of the results of the study 1) Creating value for the elderly using art as a medium.
2) The fluctuating emotional state of the elderly is caused by perceptual experiences that reflect the emotional feelings of the viewer of the art. 3) Interaction and communication are the best strategies of art therapy, expressing the true feelings of the person. The elderly and it is important that different perceptions depending on the experiences of each person can reflect the feelings of the elderly that artistic activities are meaningful for the elderly to create, making the lives and minds of the elderly happy. It affects the quality of life of the elderly society in their lives.
