Abstract

The objective of this research is to create a mathematical model of point charges and multipoles to generate electric fields from electric field lines and equipotential lines. This research uses mathematical software to generate electric field power, electric field lines, neutral points, dipoles, and bipolar pairs. The resulting electric field models enable students to draw electric field lines and neutral points. Based on the essay-style answers in the exam, out of 12 students in the class, only 10 students, or 83%, were able to demonstrate an understanding of electric force and neutral points.
