Publication Ethics

The Rajabhat Maha Sarakham University Journal of Science, Mathematics and Technology places great importance on and emphasizes ethical standards in the publication of academic works. Therefore, all parties involved with this journal must strictly adhere to the principles and standards of Publication Ethics, divided into the following roles and responsibilities:

 

Roles and Responsibilities of the Editor and Editorial Board

  1. The editor and editorial board are responsible for maintaining the journal's standards and continually developing its quality and keeping it up-to-date.

  2. The editor and editorial board must not have any conflict of interest with either the authors or the reviewers of articles. They must not use articles or the journal for commercial gain or claim them as their own work.

  3. The editor and editorial board must strictly follow the procedures for evaluating article quality.

  4. The editor and editorial board are responsible for considering and reviewing all articles submitted for publication in the journal. They must assess the consistency of the content with the journal's aims and scope, and check the quality of the article before publication.

  5. The editor and editorial board must not alter the evaluation results of article reviewers.

  6. The editor and editorial board must always use academic reasoning when considering articles, without bias towards the article, the author, or the author's affiliation.

  7. If the editor and editorial board discover that an article under review contains plagiarism, they must immediately inform the author and reject the publication of that article.

  8. The editor and editorial board must not disclose information about the article reviewers and authors to unrelated individuals.

  9. The editor and editorial board will not accept articles that have been previously published.

 

Roles and Responsibilities of Expert Reviewers

  1. Expert reviewers must prioritize the quality of the article and evaluate it based on academic principles and reasoning, without bias and without any conflict of interest with the author.

  2. Expert reviewers must adhere to the specified timeframe for evaluation and must not disclose article information to unauthorized persons.

  3. Expert reviewers should review articles within their area of expertise. They must consider the importance of the content in the article to that field, the quality of the analysis, and the depth of the work. Personal opinions unsupported by data should not be used as criteria for judging research articles.

  4. Expert reviewers must not seek any benefits from the articles they evaluate.

  5. If an expert reviewer discovers that an article under review contains plagiarism from other sources, the expert reviewer must immediately inform the journal editor or reject that article by giving it a "fail" evaluation.

 

Roles and Responsibilities of Authors

  1. Authors' articles must not have been previously published or disseminated anywhere else.

  2. The names of authors appearing in the article must truly be those who contributed to the writing of the article.

  3. Authors must not plagiarize the work of others and must always provide citations when using or referencing the work of others in their content and at the end of their article. If the journal discovers that an author's article contains plagiarism, the journal will not be responsible and the author will be held fully accountable.

  4. Authors must not distort information or provide false information in the article.

  5. Authors must write the article in strict accordance with the format specified in the journal's guidelines.

  6. Authors must agree to transfer copyright to the journal before publication and must not disseminate or publish the article with other sources after it has been published.
