Abstract

This research presents the development of an "Automatic Gas Leakage Warning System Prototype" using microcontroller technology to enhance household safety. The system utilizes an Arduino Uno board as the central processing unit to process data from an MQ-2 gas sensor. The experimental results demonstrate that the system provides real-time gas concentration readings via an LCD display and features an audible alert mechanism using a buzzer, which is triggered immediately when gas levels exceed the safety threshold of 60 ppm. Efficiency testing indicates that the prototype responds accurately within a range of 1-3 cm, with a minimum response time of 1.09 seconds, effectively reducing the risk of household fire accidents.
