The Effects of Electrical Energy Saving Policy on Personnel Behavior in the Faculty of Education at Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract

The research aimed at studying personnel behaviors’ electrical energy usage. To set energy saving policy, and compare between energy using behavior and energy saving policy with educational objectives as follows 1) Observing behaviors of energy usage 2) Setting energy policy as “known, done and applied” 3) Comparing electrical energy usage between before and after setting electrical saving energy policy 4) Evaluating and summarizing performance by specifying the procedure as following 1) Setting energy policy 2) Observing energy usage behaviors of personnel in the Faculty of Education at Srinakharinwirot University 3) Recording the survey results 4) Comparing between behaviors and electrical energy saving policy showed that personnel and students cooperated well in using “known, done and applied” (the energy saving policy) which affects the behavior of personnel in closing, adjusting and decreasing the electrical energy usage. Therefore, electrical energy in the Faculty of Education can be saved up to 13.25 percent per month.
