Warehouse Management for Aluminum Composite Panels in Case Study

Abstract

The company in this case study manufacture and distribute zinc, metal sheet and aluminum composite panels both in-house and export to other country. The company faced a problem about stroage aluminum composite panels grade B. They lacked of asystem to manage and storage, caused the products was jumble together and not in order, difficult to find and identify the products to serve the customers, moreover it was lose time and risked to work with a heavy products. So, the researchers applied SWOT Analysis theory to analyze and resolve in this problem. And then we sorted out products in the warehouse, gathered the product with same size and same color together on each pallet, made stock cards for control stock and updated information daily, we found that those processes can reduce the working time, get more space utilization and easy to reach into the products for checking the quantity and quality before sale out to the customers. Moreover, the company can also use the information for production planning and control in the future.
