Development of a Web Application for Counting Graduates Attending at the Royal Graduation Ceremony Rajamangala University of Technology Isan

Abstract

Rajamangala University of Technology Isan holds its annual graduation ceremony each academic year. The Graduate Statistics Division plays a crucial role in managing data and coordinating with relevant departments. However, the previous system using Excel had limitations such as delays, data recording errors, and lack of real-time functionality. This research aims to develop a web application for graduate counting that is fast, accurate, and supports simultaneous multi-departmental usage. The system was developed using Next.js and MySQL through systematic analysis, design, and evaluation processes. The newly developed graduate counting system enhances user convenience by providing internet accessibility, reducing complications from relying on traditional Excel files, resulting in faster and more accurate data management. Additionally, the system supports real-time operations, allowing various departments to view graduate status information immediately without waiting for updates from any particular department. The evaluation conducted by five experts showed that the system performed excellently, achieving an average score of 4.53 out of 5.00 with a standard deviation of 0.48. The system significantly improves data accuracy and processing speed while effectively supporting inter-departmental coordination. This new implementation demonstrates substantial improvements in data management efficiency, accessibility, and real-time collaboration capabilities across different university departments involved in the graduation ceremony organization.
