Abstract

This research presents Research on A Study of Commonalities and Factors Affecting Professional and Academic Skills in Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education CWIE A Case study: Faculty of Engineering Rajamangala University of Technology ISAN Khon Kaen Campas Objective to examine the common advantages of CWIE curriculum and to study the factors affecting the professional and academic skills of CWIE students by using In-depth interview and Focus Group.

The study found that the common strengths of cooperative education and the CWIE curriculum are their enthusiasm, dedication, diligence, resilience, eagerness, interest, responsibility, sociability, interpersonal skills, hospitable manner, kindness and volunteering, regularity, working as a team, and punctuality. Factors affecting the professional and academic skills of CWIE students include the principal understanding of educational institutions, establishments, and students throughout the internship process. Good collaboration between educational institutions and establishments through co-designing and co-management, and providing necessary modern laboratories and equipment lead the students to apply knowledge into practice.
