บทคัดย่อ
ปัจจุบันผู้เรียน เรียนรู้ตามมาตรฐานหลักสูตรจากเอกสารหรือข้อมูลที่ครู-อาจารย์จัดเตรียมให้ซึ่งส่วนมากไม่สอดคล้องกับความเป็นจริงที่ปรากฎในสภาพแวดล้อมที่เป็นโลกาภิวัตน์ ดังนั้นการให้บริการวิชาการยุคใหม่ สถาบันทางการศึกษาควรเน้นในรูปแบบไร้พรมแดนและเป็นเครือข่ายเป็นโลกาภิวัตน์ซึ่งจะทาให้ผู้เรียนสามารถเรียนรู้จากสภาพความเป็นจริงของสิ่งแวดล้อมได้อย่างไม่จำกัด การให้บริการวิชาการลักษณะนี้เน้นหนักการเรียนรู้ด้วยตนเองไร้พรมแดน ซึ่งส่งผลทำให้บทบาทของสถาบันการศึกษา ครู-อาจารย์และผู้เรียนเปลี่ยนไป
