The STUDY OF EXERCISE BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS AND NEEDS OF STUDENTS AT RAJAMANGALA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY SUVARNABHUMI NONTHABURI CENTER
Abstract
This research is survey research. The objective of this research was to study behavior problems and needs in exercises for students of Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Nonthaburi Center. The sample group used in this research were students who were studying at the vocational certificate level. Higher Vocational Certificate Level and bachelor's degree Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Nonthaburi Center year 2023, number of 388 people, using stratified random sampling. The tool used for this research was a questionnaire created by the researcher. Quality was checked for content validity with an index of congruence (IOC) ranging from 0.67-1.00. The questionnaire consists of 3 parts: 1) general demographic characteristics 2) behavior exercise 3) problems and needs of exercise. Statistics used to analyze quantitative data use descriptive statistics including percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research results were found that: 1) Demographic characteristics It was found that the sample was more female than male. In the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture 56.70%, currently studying 1st year bachelor's degree 32.80%, academic achievement was in the range of 2.00-2.49 31.60%, have a place to stay with family 70.30%, have sufficient monthly income 73.40%, no congenital disease 86.70%, the frequency of exercising 1-2 times/week was 48.80%, using the duration of exercise 15-30 minutes 48.70%. In the past, there were exercise activities on campus, mostly badminton 35.00%. and the environment in which exercise activities are practiced mostly uses outdoor locations 45.60% 2) Exercise behavior It was found that overall attitude about exercise behavior was at a high level (=4.01, SD=1.68) and expression in exercising was at a high level (=3.77, SD=1.11) and 3) problems and needs for exercise. It was found that problems were overall at a moderate level (=3.09, SD=1.20), with related personnel problems (=3.32, SD=1.03), location and equipment problems (=3.29, SD=1.06) and service day-time problems (=3.21, SD=0.99) respectively. The overall exercise needs were found to be at a high level (=3.84, SD=0.96) with needs regarding places and equipment (=3.95, SD=0.96), service day-time needs (=3.89, SD=0.89), related personnel needs (=3.85, SD=0.88) respectively
