DEVELOPMENT OF ONLINE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE COURSE TO SUPPORT THE SITUATION OF COVID-19 VIRUS EPIDEMIC

Abstract

The research on the development of an online internship management system to support the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation was conducted with the following objectives: 1) To develop an online internship management system to support the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation. 2) To test the online internship management system. And 3) To evaluate the satisfaction with the developed system. The study involved students from the Faculty of Science and Technology who enrolled in the professional experience training course in the third semester of the 2020 academic year, totaling 74 students. The online internship management system was developed as a web application, comprising a student profile recording system, appointment scheduling system, internship record system, evaluation system, submission system, related reports, and various forms for internships. From the quality assessment of the online internship management system development by 5 experts, the system was found to be at a good level with an average score of 4.22 and a standard deviation of 0.72. The user satisfaction survey included students, instructors, and mentors in workplaces who tested the online internship management system to support the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic situation. The overall user satisfaction with the system was at a high level, with an average score of 4.04 and a standard deviation of 0.78.
