Abstract

This research analyzed the effects of user interface (UI) configurations, object types, and geometrical arrangement patterns on the operation time and placement accuracy of a Dobot robotic arm in pick-and-place operations. A 23 full factorial design was implemented, incorporating three replications per experimental run to ensure statistical reliability. The results of the variance analysis (ANOVA) showed that the main factors and the co-influence between all factors were not statistically significant on the operating time (P>0.05). On the other hand, the user interface factor had a statistically significant effect on the accuracy of the placement of the workpiece. (P=0.8709). These findings provide empirical guidance for selecting optimal operating conditions to enhance placement quality and mitigate the risk of production defects, thereby contributing to the minimization of non-value-added waste in automated manufacturing processes.
