ผลของชนิดและปริมาณชีวมวลจากปาล์มน้ำมันต่อสมบัติทางกายภาพและเชิงกลของวัสดุเชิงประกอบพอลิโพรพิลีนรีไซเคิลเพื่อการประยุกต์ใช้เป็นวัสดุทดแทนไม้

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการเพิ่มมูลค่าพอลิโพรพิลีนรีไซเคิลร่วมกับวัสดุชีวมวลจากอุตสาหกรรมปาล์มน้ำมัน ได้แก่ ผงกะลาปาล์มน้ำมัน (PM) และเส้นใยปาล์มน้ำมัน (OPF) เพื่อพัฒนาวัสดุเชิงประกอบสำหรับใช้เป็นวัสดุทดแทนไม้ในงานเฟอร์นิเจอร์ โดยเตรียมวัสดุเชิงประกอบด้วยวิธีการผสมแบบปิดที่อุณหภูมิ 170 °C และความเร็วรอบ 60 รอบต่อนาที (RPM) จากนั้นขึ้นรูปเป็นแผ่นด้วยกระบวนการอัดร้อนที่อุณหภูมิ 170 °C เป็นเวลา 20 นาที ศึกษาผลของชนิดและปริมาณวัสดุชีวมวลต่อสมบัติทางกายภาพและสมบัติเชิงกล ได้แก่ ความหนาแน่น การดูดซึมน้ำ การพองตัวตามความหนา ความต้านทานแรงดัด มอดูลัสยืดหยุ่น และแรงยึดเหนี่ยวของสกรู โดยการทดสอบดำเนินการอย่างน้อย 3 ซ้ำ และรายงานผลในรูปค่าเฉลี่ย ผลการศึกษาพบว่าการเพิ่มปริมาณ PM และ OPF ส่งผลให้ความหนาแน่นและการดูดซึมน้ำของวัสดุเชิงประกอบเพิ่มขึ้น โดยสูตร PP60PM40 ให้ค่าความหนาแน่นสูงสุดเท่ากับ 1.03±0.01 g/cm³ และค่าความต้านทานแรงดัดสูงสุดในกลุ่มวัสดุเชิงประกอบเท่ากับ 43.81±1.72 MPa ขณะที่สูตร PP60PM20OPF20 มีค่าการพองตัวตามความหนาสูงสุดเท่ากับ 1.79% อย่างไรก็ตาม วัสดุเชิงประกอบทุกสูตรมีค่าการดูดซึมน้ำต่ำกว่า 0.35% และค่าการพองตัวตามความหนาต่ำกว่า 2% เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับมาตรฐาน มอก. 966-2547 และ JIS A 5905 พบว่าวัสดุเชิงประกอบส่วนใหญ่ผ่านเกณฑ์มาตรฐาน JIS A 5905 ในด้านความหนาแน่น การพองตัวตามความหนา ความต้านทานแรงดัด และมอดูลัสยืดหยุ่น ผลการศึกษาชี้ให้เห็นว่าการใช้พอลิโพรพิลีนรีไซเคิลร่วมกับวัสดุชีวมวลจากปาล์มน้ำมันสามารถพัฒนาวัสดุเชิงประกอบที่มีสมบัติเหมาะสมสำหรับการประยุกต์ใช้เป็นวัสดุทดแทนไม้ และเป็นแนวทางในการเพิ่มมูลค่าของเสียจากภาคอุตสาหกรรมตามแนวคิดเศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน
