Study for Factors Affecting Health Risk from Work of Employee in Pump and Valve Service Company

Abstract

The purposes of this survey research are to study the factors which effect to health risk from work of employee in pump and valve service company and to suggest approach for management employees’ health. The sample for this study is 40 employees who work in a garage case study one of pump and valve service company in Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province. The questionnaires were used for this research consisting of 5 parts of personal factors, health data, workplace assessment, assessment of occupational health and safety in workplace, and work behavior.  The statistical method used in this research is percentage. The results showed that for personal factors, the majority of employees are male, age range between 18 - 29 years old, level of education in High Vocational Certificate, salary level between 10,000 – 15,000 baths, length of working time for 1 - 5 years. The employees have low health risk due to the good management of occupational health and safety in company such as wearing personal protective equipment throughout the work period and annual health checkup. The majority of employees have a few accidents in workplace. The majority of employees have good health and the company provides a safe workplace.
