Abstract

The research aimed to develop a polynomial module in Mathematics for Mattayomsuksa One according to 75/75 criterion, to compare a learning achievement in Mathematics after using the polynomial module with the standard value of 70 percentages, to compare an achievement in Mathematics before and after the use of the polynomial module and to study the satisfaction of the students towards the instructional activities based on the polynomial module in Mathematics. The samples used in the research were the Mattayomsuksa One students of Amnat Charoeon School enrolled in the second semester in the academic year 2012 under the jurisdiction of Amnat Charoen?s Educational Service Area 29. The 50 students selected by a cluster random sampling were used in the research. The research instruments were six sets of the polynomial module in Mathematics. There were 18 lesson plans and the 30 items for Pre ? test and Post ? test with the difficulty value range between 0.30-0.72, the discrimination value range between 0.20-0.56 and the confidence value of 0.88. Statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and dependent sample t-test.

In this research, it was found that, the polynomial module in Mathematics created by the researcher using for the Mattayomsuksa One students presented 78.47/76.67 effective. The students had a higher achievement in the polynomial module in Mathematics by 70% after the use of the module with a statistical significance of .01. The learning achievement after the use of the module was higher than that before the use of the module with a statistical significance of .01. The satisfaction of the students towards the learning activities by using the polynomial module in Mathematics was at a high degree. Keywords: Module in Mathematics, Polynomial
