To Study the Results of implementation of Developing Mentor Teachers’ Competencies to Enhance Mathematics Learning Provision in the 21st Century

Abstract

The aims of the research studythe results of using the developed model of developing mentor teachers’ performance and competencies to enhance mathematics learning in the 21st century.The results of the study reveal that The competency knowledge was highly positive which was the pre-test average score of 16.20 and the post-test one of 25.40 or calculated as 54.00 and 84.67 respectively. The overall score of the development was 67 percent.In aspect of the skill competency, Mentor teachersoverall had a competency of learning provision and supervision skills at a moderate level, and the average score after the development was at the highest level.For the attribute competency, the mentor teachers had the competencies with an average pre-test score at a high level and a post-test score at the highest level. The mentor teachers are satisfied with the use of the developed model; there are various activities to be carried out, learning from the prototype schools and persons, having new perspectives, and cooperating to work with pre-service teachers.
