'Effectiveness Evaluation of Situation Awareness Team (SAT) and Joint Investigation Team (JIT), The Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 2 Phitsanulok
Abstract
'The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the Situational Awareness Team (SAT) and Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of the Office of Disease Prevention and Control 2, Phitsanulok Province. This is an evaluation study using the CIPP Evaluation Model. Data were collected from October 2020 to September 2021. The population and the sample were selected by purposive sampling and willing to participate in this study. Situational Awareness and Disease Control Investigators consisted of 38 participants. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected using a structured questionnaire and interview guideline. The results of this study revealed that the SAT and JIT teams can perform their assigned roles, missions, achieve their objectives and be effective. Contextually, personnel possessed the necessary competencies that were developed through training and on-the-job training. Regarding to the import factors, there was adequate and appropriate support. On the process, the SAT and JIT teams perform procedures within the established guidelines and standards and were kept up-to-date. The productivity and performance assessment results of the SAT and JIT teams were moderate. Therefore, organizations should develop situational awareness (SAT) teams. Data analysis and data linkage in the disease control investigation (JIT) team should focus on operational processes, such as coordinating team members and networks. Planning before the investigation of the disease and the division of work duties and disease investigation data for disease control measures were recommended for the area based and prepared a completed report for management and used the assessment results to contribute guidelines and support the practical to be efficient and continually achieving the effectiveness.
