Abstract

Synthetic biology involves constructing synthetic biological circuits on plasmids, which consist of DNA fragments or genes of interest combined with promoter and ribosome-binding regions, and then introducing them into a host cell. Synthetic biology processes can lead to two main types of changes in living organisms: the creation of organisms through genome addition or deletion, and the creation of microorganisms with modified metabolic pathways for various human applications. This article describes : the meaning and applications of synthetic biology in medicine and synthetic biology in Thailand.
