Manuscript Review and Publication Workflow
The Thai Journal of Environment accepts original manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by any other journal.
Upon initial submission, each manuscript undergoes a preliminary assessment to ensure it aligns with the journal’s aims and scope, formatting requirements, and similarity index thresholds. Manuscripts that meet these criteria proceed to a scholarly review process conducted by at least two independent experts from diverse institutions in relevant disciplines. The journal adopts a double-blind peer review system to ensure impartiality. Final decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection are made solely by the editorial board.
The Editor-in-Chief provides academic guidance and assigns manuscripts to appropriate editors. Assigned editors are responsible for inviting qualified reviewers and may also serve as reviewers themselves to evaluate the manuscript's academic merit. Based on the reviewers’ feedback, editors determine whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected. In cases of conflicting or divergent reviews, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final determination.
Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, it enters the formatting, proofreading, and verification stages. Authors will be issued a copyright transfer agreement, and the manuscript will be assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for online dissemination.
