Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Thai Environmental is a multidisciplinary academic journal dedicated to the dissemination of up-to-date knowledge and scholarly insights on sustainable environmental management. Serving as both a platform and a medium for academic communication, the journal welcomes contributions that encompass research, practice, policy, and diverse perspectives—particularly within the context of Thailand. Its core mission is to foster academic exchange and public understanding that contribute to the development and resolution of pressing environmental challenges nationwide.

Scope of the Journal

Thai Environmental publishes articles that present concepts, findings, and evidence-based data from research related to the environment and natural resources. It embraces contributions in both scientific and technological domains, as well as spatial planning and policy design. Themes include:

  • Natural Resources and Environmental Management

  • Disasters and Climate Change

  • Circular Economy and Sustainable Practices

  • Sustainable Urban Development

  • Pollution Prevention and Control

  • Environmental Policy and Law

  • Other Emerging Dimensions of Environmental Studies

Article Types Accepted

The journal considers academic manuscripts that fall within its thematic scope and align with the following formats:

  1. Research Articles Should include: abstract, keywords, problem statement and significance, objectives, literature review, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and references.

  2. Academic / Analytical / Review Articles Should include: abstract, introduction, keywords, objectives, synthesized content from multiple sources, analytical/synthetic discussion, conclusion, and references.

General Guidelines for Manuscripts

  • Articles must be written in Thai with clearly defined sections.

  • Manuscripts should not exceed 10 A4 pages (including images and tables), single-column format, single-spaced, using 16-point Thai Saraban font.

  • Abstracts in both Thai and English, each not exceeding 300 words.

  • Structure:

    • First Page: Title, authorship details (name, affiliation, corresponding author’s email), abstract, and keywords in both Thai and English.

    • Main Content: Body of the manuscript in Thai, formatted in a single-column layout.

Figures, Maps, Tables, and Charts

  • Captions for figures, maps, and charts must be placed below the visual elements, with sources cited.

  • Table titles must be placed above the tables, with sources and notes (if any) cited below.

  • All visual elements must be referred to within the text.

  • All images, maps, and charts must be submitted in TIFF or JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.

Referencing and Bibliography

  • In-text citations must follow the author-date format: (Surname, Year).

  • All references must be credible, verifiable, internationally recognized, and up-to-date.

  • The full list of references must be presented in English and conform to APA 6th edition guidelines. Examples:

    • Book: Surname. (Year). Title. (Edition). Place: Publisher.

    • Book Chapter: Author. (Year). Title of chapter. In Editor (Ed.), Book Title (edition, pp. xxx–xxx). Place: Publisher.

    • Journal Article: Author. (Year). Article title. Journal Title, Volume(Issue), pp–pp.

    • Thesis: Author. (Year). Title of thesis (Master’s/Doctoral thesis, Institution).

    • Electronic Sources: Author. (Year, Month Date). Title [Format]. Retrieved from http://...

Submission Requirements and Ethics Declaration

Authors must submit a signed statement of article intent and an ethics declaration along with the manuscript.

Note: Manuscripts that do not conform to the specified guidelines will be returned to the corresponding author for revision prior to review.
